British bird on left, Icelandic type on right. Note the Icelandics COLD creamy white sub-moustachial stripe, throat and ground colour of breast, contrasting with the clearly defined blackish lateral throat stripe and breast spots. British bird much WARMER toned with buff coloured lateral throat stripe, throat and underparts. |
